EXCLUSIVE: Kendrick Lamar’s “m.A.A.d City” Subject Of Nasty Legal War Over Credit

1000Milan is dragging one of Kendrick Lamar’s most celebrated records into federal court, demanding recognition for what he calls his own work on “m.A.A.d city.” The Miami rapper, whose legal name is Milan Brewer, sued the song’s co-producer AXLFOLIE over credit and cash. The lawsuit centers on “Ridin Rollercoaster,” a song 1000Milan wrote and recorded back in April 2012. Sample-tracking sites had flagged the vocal match years before any lawyers ever got involved in the dispute.
