Commonwealth Games boxing official suspended over headbutt probe

A boxing official has been banned from serving at the Commonwealth Games over allegations he headbutted a teenage fighter in the ring. Jon-Paul Hynd also faces claims he struck another child with an unknown object during a training session at Beath Boxing Club in Cowdenbeath, Fife. Hynd was appointed as a technical official for the games in Glasgow, but Boxing Scotland said he had been suspended pending an investigation.
